S&T's Soda Shoppe - renovated to look like a
1940's soda fountain with beautiful cabinets and
booths, tin ceiling, tile floors, huge servings of
delicious ice cream dishes. Sandwiches,
salads. One block from Rosemary House on
Hillsborough St.
General Store Cafe
- great food:
salads, soup, sandwiches, burritos, pizza, lasagna,
quesadillas. Open 7:30 am-9 pm, special menu
Thurs-Sat dinners. Open Sunday with a brunch
menu from 9 till 5. We enjoy the music: jazz
on Thursday, local bands on Friday and Saturday.
Second Sunday of each month is an open Irish jam
session, phenomenal entertainment! Right across the
street from the B&B.
San Felipe - Mexican food, inexpensive, great
variety. Located in the Food Lion shopping
plaza east of the Courthouse on Bus 64 (about 1/3
mile).
Daniel's
- a very good Italian restaurant on Highway 55 in
Apex (16 miles east), open 7 days. Our
guests rave about it. Moderately priced.
Fearrington House
- five star restaurant, very elegant. Seven
miles north on 15-501 in Fearrington Village.
Pittsboro also has fast food places (Subway,
Elizabeth's Pizza, China Inn, Hardees, Pizza Hut)
and several other small eateries.
